For myself, this is a storyline that is still playing itself out in my life and I still catch myself sometimes projecting my fear onto those around me – making them responsible – making my excuses for why I hold myself back. This can be physically exhausting, emotionally draining, and spiritually disempowering because this energy draining dance thrives on comparison and competition, making us feel like an outsider in our own skin, separate from our own success – and disconnected from our own story. Whatever we do will never be good enough until we break this pattern.

I myself, have spent so much time “stuck” in self-doubt, underneath heavy, unnatural and ‘un-me’ things… particularly over these past few months as I simultaneously worked to establish Just As I Am and can feel so much of the energy within the world we have grown up in shifting into a far more soft, spacious and all-encompassing way of connecting.

I have had this sense that there are all these things I have been clinging to, so tight for so long…

I have had so much come up and challenge the place I thought I was in and the direction I thought I was heading – like a question… “Is this really what you want? Are you sure you are ready to handle all that comes with moving into this space?”

I feel this immense force gently guiding me forward – to trust my path, whispering to me, “all of this stuff you are holding isn’t you, but you’ve been pretending that it is for so long. It is heavy. You can put it down now. There is no place for what you carry in the space you are moving into, and you have no use for it – it cannot be done for you…

you need to choose to put it down so that you can have the best possible outcome.”

Without my embodiment practices I would feel so overwhelmed.



 


We are all always learning and growing if we choose to be. The Heart desires, the Mind chooses, but embodiment is the act of stepping into that new space.
